Dodder, also known as Cuscuta, is a genus of parasitic plants that belong to the Convolvulaceae family. Dodder plants lack chlorophyll and therefore cannot photosynthesize, so they rely entirely on other host plants for nutrients. Dodder seeds are tiny and typically brown or black in color. They are produced within small, round capsules that develop on the dodder plant.
